Detailed description

Go back to school with this green chalkboard with our adhesive film effect vintage green slate magnet board! It'll stimulate your creativity, inviting you to write, draw, play, make guesses, or simply display your favorite photos!

This film is composed of a ferrous film and a PET film, with a thickness of 500 μm. Its magnetic characteristics have been improved for better element retention.

Ideal for creative spaces, its 120 cm height allows you to install a large rectangle as if it were a school picture. But you're free to cut it to any shape you like - it cuts beautifully! You can easily place it on any smooth, non-porous surface, thanks to its "bubble-free" adhesive system. This allows air to escape easily during installation, preventing the formation of bubbles.

Important note: This film is to be laid dry. Please note that magnetic films are heavier: we therefore strongly recommend that you lay the film flat 24 hours before application to limit shape memory.

Use: Compatible with traditional and liquid chalk. The ideal way to care for magnetic green slate board film is to clean it weekly with a sponge and a little soap. To avoid leaving a permanent mark, please erase writing up to 1 month after creation.

What our customers say

Not at all suited to my use. I didn't realize I needed a heat gun to melt the glue. I tried using a hair dryer, with no success. It doesn't hold at all, despite hours of trying.

Frequently asked questions

  • How to install adhesive coating yourself?

All the steps and tips to follow can be found in our article "How to install an adhesive coating?"

  • Can I put adhesive coating on my worktop?

Yes, it's possible. Our coatings are thick, moisture-resistant and very easy to clean. There are a few precautions to take, such as using trivets. Find out more in our blog post "Can adhesive flooring be installed on a kitchen worktop?"

  • Can the adhesive coating be removed without damaging the furniture underneath?

You can remove the adhesive coating, but there's always a risk of damaging the surface underneath, as the adhesive is strong. Surfaces such as wallpaper or peeling paint are the most fragile.

Our tip for removing adhesive coatings:

    • Start from a corner and pull fairly firmly
    • Use a release solution to cancel out the glue's action
    • Use a heat gun: the glue will soften the film and the adhesive. The adhesive coating is much easier to remove.
  • Can adhesive coating be applied to a raised surface?

Adhesive coatings can be applied to surfaces with relief, such as certain moldings. You need to master the application and thermoforming of the film, and ensure that the relief is not too pronounced.

If you'd like to give it a try, you can test it with a free sample. Alternatively, you can call in a professional fitter.

  • Can adhesive coating be applied to tiles?

The adhesive coating can be applied to any smooth, non-porous surface. On tiles, it's possible. You'll need to be careful with the joints, as the hollows at the joints may show through.

For a more aesthetic look, there are two solutions:

    • Smooth the surface with a smoothing compound beforehand
    • Cut tiles to size and reapply a clean grout over them
  • How do I apply adhesive coating in corners?

For a perfectly covered corner, follow our guide: "Successful installation of adhesive coverings in corners".
