Detailed description

Incredible trompe l'oeil effect, this ultra-trendy wooden strip pattern will immediately find its place in your interior! Behind a TV cabinet, as a headboard, to cover a cupboard door, to delimit a space... The possibilities are numerous for this decorative wood strip adhesive.

You will appreciate the medium brown colour of the wood, the fine veining and the overall harmony of the pattern, as well as the work around the shadows which creates a surprisingly realistic relief, just like the dark background which makes the slats stand out even more.

The width of a strip is approximately 2.3 cm, the shadow 0.5 cm and the distance between each strip 1.2 cm. This adhesive has excellent resistance to water, dirt, abrasion and UV light. However, care must be taken with the surface printing (avoid rubbing, sharp objects etc.).

Eléonore's word: A very realistic trompe l'oeil effect that offers the relief of strips and the warmth of wood without any DIY. That's the promise of the cleat effect adhesive. Ideal for those who are not so handy, this adhesive allows you to dress up walls, doors or cupboards without effort or to delimit the spaces in a room: create a headboard, a cosy corner, an entrance hall, etc. in a snap!

Durability: 10 years for the carrier film and 5 to 8 years for the print on the film (attention to maintenance)

Frequently asked questions

  • How to install adhesive coating yourself?

All the steps and tips to follow can be found in our article "How to install an adhesive coating?"

  • Can I put adhesive coating on my worktop?

Yes, it's possible. Our coatings are thick, moisture-resistant and very easy to clean. There are a few precautions to take, such as using trivets. Find out more in our blog post "Can adhesive flooring be installed on a kitchen worktop?"

  • How do you know which way the pattern will go?

If your film includes a motif, we invite you to view the last image in the photo carousel.

The image explains the direction of the pattern in relation to the roll. You'll be able to enter your dimensions to have the pattern in the direction you want.

  • Can the adhesive coating be removed without damaging the furniture underneath?

You can remove the adhesive coating, but there's always a risk of damaging the surface underneath, as the adhesive is strong. Surfaces such as wallpaper or peeling paint are the most fragile.

Our tip for removing adhesive coatings:

    • Start from a corner and pull fairly firmly
    • Use a release solution to cancel out the glue's action
    • Use a heat gun: the glue will soften the film and the adhesive. The adhesive coating is much easier to remove.
  • Can adhesive coating be applied to a raised surface?

Adhesive coatings can be applied to surfaces with relief, such as certain moldings. You need to master the application and thermoforming of the film, and ensure that the relief is not too pronounced.

If you'd like to give it a try, you can test it with a free sample. Alternatively, you can call in a professional fitter.

  • Can adhesive coating be applied to tiles?

The adhesive coating can be applied to any smooth, non-porous surface. On tiles, it's possible. You'll need to be careful with the joints, as the hollows at the joints may show through.

For a more aesthetic look, there are two solutions:

    • Smooth the surface with a smoothing compound beforehand
    • Cut tiles to size and reapply a clean grout over them
  • How do I apply adhesive coating in corners?

For a perfectly covered corner, follow our guide: "Successful installation of adhesive coverings in corners".
