Detailed description

Enjoy a summer season sheltered from the heat with this repositionable heat protection film with an embossed look and silver colour on the outside (effective against solar energy) and anthracite grey on the inside for a beautiful effect!

You will be pleasantly surprised by how easy it is to fit thanks to the Velcro fasteners that fit directly onto the frame of your skylight or window, which can be fitted and removed in a matter of minutes: an ideal seasonal anti-heat solution!

When ordering, be sure to add 3cm to your dimensions to facilitate the installation of the film. Specially designed for skylights, this anti-heat scratch film is suitable for interior use, on single or small double glazing (more information in the product data sheet).

As a reminder, 16 male/female scratches are automatically included in your order for every linear metre. If you want a satisfactory result, we advise you to put 1 scratch every 50 cm on vertical walls and 1 scratch every 30 cm for sloping walls. If you do not have enough Velcro, you can order an extra set of 10 Velcro under the reference VO230. If in doubt, do not hesitate to contact one of our advisers.

What our customers say

    Compliant product

  • *****

    Il y a 120 jours

Convenient, perfect protection from the sun's rays without losing too much light.
If you're ordering long panels, I recommend two people for installation, as the film corns and marks easily if folded.

Made-to-measure film, (I didn't cover all my skylights) good quality, doesn't darken that much, anti uv, you gain a few degrees less in the room on sunny days.
Easy to apply, but requires a little application to position the scratch strips correctly on the joinery and then on the film when unrolled flat (remember to order additional scratch strips for good adhesion and a crease-free finish).
Tip: When installing, unroll the film as you position it to prevent it from folding and corning, a material that marks on folds.

Just the little scratches or the tights are not strong enough but nothing serious I was able to remedy ....6 times cheaper than my project with stocks in vertical top with cables not very aesthetic ... and moreover you have me the films in 3 days !!!! As opposed to 5 weeks if I had ordered my horizontal blinds

    Easy to install

Soft film, but rigid enough to be held in position. It remains to be seen whether the quality will remain the same after repeated use.

Perfect, the films protect well from the sun. I put them under the roof of my veranda to protect it from the sun because it's a scratch heat protection. It takes two people to install them. But I'm convinced.

Very good product, just installed. You could feel the difference in temperature. I recommend this product for heat insulation, without any major loss of light.

  • *****

The quality seems to be very good, the delivery time very short, the only minor drawback is that the instructions are not very clear for non-do-it-yourselfers.

Good quality to see over time

Easy to install, but not as effective as exterior film

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I apply window film?

With a little patience and attention to detail, and by following the installation instructions carefully, you can install your window film yourself. For large surfaces (bay windows, for example), we recommend two people.

Find out how to apply self-adhesive films in this article.

Discover the electrostatic film installation tutorial in this article.

If you don't want to do the installation yourself, don't hesitate to ask for a quote.

  • Should metallized film be applied indoors or outdoors?

We recommend applying a metallized film to the outside of the glass. The film will be more effective, and your glass will be protected from any thermal shock.

Don't panic: our films are designed to withstand the vagaries of the weather over time.

If you cannot apply your metallized film on the outside, you can apply it on the inside in the following cases:

    • Non-laminated single glazing
    • Double-glazed windows less than 1.2m² in area

Good to know: These precautions must be taken to limit the risk of thermal shock, but there is no such thing as 0 risk. Also, there is no contraindication to installing a transparent film on the inside.

If in doubt, contact our advisors.

  • How do I remove my window film?

Just pull at a gentle angle. If you have electrostatics, it's even easier.

Here's a tutorial on how to remove adhesive window film.

You can also find out how to remove and store your electrostatic window film.

  • Does mirror-effect film protect against heat?

Yes, mirror-effect films automatically protect against heat. Protection varies according to shade. The heat protection properties of mirror effect films are given in the technical data sheet.

  • Does the mirror effect film work at night with the lights on?

No: the mirror effect always occurs on the brighter side. If it's brighter inside than outside, the mirror effect is reversed.

By the way, there's no such thing as a one-way mirror effect film that works at night with the lights on.

To find out more, visit our article "Does the one-way night mirror work?"

  • Is the brightness of a room affected by mirror-effect solar film?

Yes and no; it's a fairly subjective criterion.

Technically, the more tinted the film, the greater the impact on room luminosity. A very light film, on the other hand, will have virtually no impact.

On the other hand, your feeling of "loss of brightness" will depend on :

    • variations in external light
    • your visual acuity
    • your expectations in terms of brightness

The best way to answer this question is to ask for free samples and test them on your windows! 😉

  • Is mirror-effect film dangerous for birds?

The reflection caused by the mirror effect can actually confuse birds. For this reason, we offer anti-collision stickers. Their purpose is to warn of an obstacle, and thus change the bird's trajectory.

  • Does the color of the film affect its technical characteristics?

Yes and no. The color of the film is purely aesthetic. We would like to point out, however, that the "Silver" colors are the most effective in terms of face protection.

To see the characteristics of a film, we invite you to read its description and technical data sheet.

  • What is thermal shock?

Thermal shock is a reaction that occurs when there is too great a temperature difference between the glass and the surrounding air. This can cause cracks and damage to your glass.

Thermal shock can occur, for example, if you apply a dark tinted film to a large area of double-glazed glass on the inside. The glass will overheat, and may break.

To avoid the risk of thermal shock, we recommend outdoor installation.
