Detailed description
This thermal insulation film reduces heat loss through glazing in winter. By applying this anti-cold thermal insulation film to your single and old double glazing (over 20 years old), you reduce your heating consumption and therefore save energy. What's more, you eliminate the "cold window" effect in winter, which cools the atmosphere even more. The result is a more pleasant temperature in your home, and a few more degrees of warmth.
How does it work? Thanks to the metal particles in the film, the rays that transport and transmit heat from one surface to another are blocked. As a result, heat will no longer be able to escape through the glass as before.
Placed directly on the existing interior glazing, this low-emissivity insulating film saves up to 27% in heat loss through the panes, if you have single glazing. If you have old double-glazing, you can save up to 15%, which is not insignificant.
As well as keeping the heat out, this insulating plastic film will also limit the heat build-up indoors in summer. In fact, this film also has anti-heat properties that redirect infrared rays outwards.
The slightly champagne colour of this anti-cold sun protection film has very little effect on the exterior. Because it is very light, you can protect yourself from the cold without making your interior too dark. You can combat heat loss without changing the appearance of your glazing.
Durability: 12 to 15 years for vertical application in Central Europe indoors.

How do I apply window film?
With a little patience and attention to detail, and by following the installation instructions carefully, you can install your window film yourself. For large surfaces (bay windows, for example), we recommend two people.

How many degrees can you gain with heat-shielding film?
It's very difficult to know exactly how many degrees you'll gain. Many factors come into play: the type of insulation in the house, the type of glass, the size of the panes, the surface area of the house, and so on.
In general, you can gain up to 5°C in coolness with an anti-heat film.
Our most effective film, GLASSplus-241x, rejects up to 90% of solar energy. It's an excellent heat barrier to protect your interior.

How do I remove my window film?
Just pull at a gentle angle. If you have electrostatics, it's even easier.

Is the brightness of a room affected by mirror-effect solar film?
Yes and no; it's a fairly subjective criterion.
Technically, the more tinted the film, the greater the impact on room luminosity. A very light film, on the other hand, will have virtually no impact.
On the other hand, your feeling of "loss of brightness" will depend on :
- variations in external light
- your visual acuity
- your expectations in terms of brightness
