How do I apply electrostatic film?
Unlike adhesive, electrostatic window film can be applied with clear water. What's more, it can be repositioned, making installation a whole lot easier!
Otherwise, the precautions and installation steps are the same:
- Make sure the dimensions are correct
- Clean glazing thoroughly to avoid bubbles

If you have an adhesive film, it won't be possible to re-install it: if you remove the film, the adhesive will no longer hold. In this case, you first need to understand what the problem is. Then you can contact an advisor, who can send you a second chance at a preferential rate.
How do I clean window film?
Our Luminis Films window films are very easy to clean: all you need is a soft cloth andsoapy water. You don't need any special care, just go back to the way you were before. Just avoid abrasive products.
Should I install my film on the inside or outside?
For metallized films (heat-shielding films, mirror-effect films, 2-in-1 films), it's best to install them on the outside. This will protect the glass from any thermal shock, and prevent it from overheating.
Installation on the inside can be considered only in these cases:
- Single-glazed (non-leafed)
- Double-vitrage < 1,2m²
Be sure to follow the installation instructions given on the product sheet and the technical data sheet.
I don't know which film to choose, how do I go about it?
