    The film fulfils its purpose. However, it is very complicated to install and the result is far from perfect even after several glazings and therefore a better installation experience for the latter. I'm not sure that a perfect installation (without bubbles) is possible. Note that the luminosity is greatly reduced. As for durability, I'll see with time...

    Commande passée en février, obligation de payer le solde directement. Délai très long pour rdv de pose, 1ère intervention en avril rdv annulé par le poseur, 2eme intervention en mai film pas aux bonnes dimensions, 3eme intervention différence de teinte entre les films nécessitant un raccord vertical + de nombreux défauts de pose (film abîmé à divers endrojts, brûlure du cadre fenêtre, insecte piègé entre le film et la vitre, film mal centré, etc...). Résultat nul, pas du tout acceptable, tout le travail est à reprendre et Luminis ne donne plus de nouvelles malgré s'y être engagé semaine dernière !!!

    I thought that if I'd called in a professional to apply the film, it would have been perfect. Not so. I have micro-bubbles everywhere. Considering the price of the installation service, it's pathetic. The fitter told me as he was leaving "in 4 days you won't see anything, the film will stretch" and well, it's been 2 weeks and there's been no change. I'm going to complain to the after-sales service.

Detailed description

Turn your glazing into a real one-way mirror with one-way mirror film. Thanks to this process, you can continue to see out while being invisible to passers-by. On one side (the brighter side), the film transforms the glazing into a perfect mirror. On the other side, the glass remains transparent.

With this one-way film, you benefit from a very high durability and a 10 year guarantee. To offer you the best protection for as long as possible.

How the one-way mirror works: in response to stronger light, the one-way mirror film turns into a mirror. The mirror is always on the brighter side. As night falls, the mirror effect becomes ineffective, letting in outside glances. To remedy this, we recommend installing blinds or shutters.

This mirror film is to be placed on the outside of your glass to avoid any risk of thermal shock. It can be installed on a single pane as well as on a double pane of more than 1.2m². In case of doubt, do not hesitate to consult the technical data sheet or to contact us directly.

  • How do I apply window film?

    With a little patience and attention to detail, and by following the installation instructions carefully, you can install your window film yourself. For large surfaces (bay windows, for example), we recommend two people.

  • Should metallized film be applied indoors or outdoors?

    We recommend applying a metallized film to the outside of the glass. The film will be more effective, and your glass will be protected from any thermal shock.

    Don't panic: our films are designed to withstand the vagaries of the weather over time.


    If you cannot apply your metallized film on the outside, you can apply it on the inside in the following cases:

    • Non-laminated single glazing
    • Double-glazed windows less than 1.2m² in area


    Good to know: These precautions must be taken to limit the risk of thermal shock, but there is no such thing as 0 risk. Also, there is no contraindication to installing a transparent film on the inside.

  • How do I remove my window film?

    Just pull at a gentle angle. If you have electrostatics, it's even easier.

  • Does mirror-effect film protect against heat?

    Yes, mirror-effect films automatically protect against heat. Protection varies according to shade. The heat protection properties of mirror effect films are given in the technical data sheet.

  • Does the mirror effect film work at night with the lights on?

    No: the mirror effect always occurs on the brighter side. If it's brighter inside than outside, the mirror effect is reversed.

    By the way, there's no such thing as a one-way mirror effect film that works at night with the lights on.

  • Is the brightness of a room affected by mirror-effect solar film?

    Yes and no; it's a fairly subjective criterion.

    Technically, the more tinted the film, the greater the impact on room luminosity. A very light film, on the other hand, will have virtually no impact.

    On the other hand, your feeling of "loss of brightness" will depend on :

    • variations in external light
    • your visual acuity
    • your expectations in terms of brightness

    The best way to answer this question is to ask for free samples and test them on your windows! 😉

  • Is mirror-effect film dangerous for birds?

    The reflection caused by the mirror effect can actually confuse birds. For this reason, we offer anti-collision stickers. Their purpose is to warn of an obstacle, and thus change the bird's trajectory.

  • Does the color of the film affect its technical characteristics?

    Yes and no. The color of the film is purely aesthetic. We would like to point out, however, that the "Silver" colors are the most effective in terms of face protection.

  • What is thermal shock?

    Thermal shock is a reaction that occurs when there is too great a temperature difference between the glass and the surrounding air. This can cause cracks and damage to your glass.


    Thermal shock can occur, for example, if you apply a dark tinted film to a large area of double-glazed glass on the inside. The glass will overheat, and may break.


    To avoid the risk of thermal shock, we recommend outdoor installation.
