Perfect. Easy to install. Installed on plexiglass, not glass, no problem.

A little difficult to apply compared with electrostatic film.
If you get it wrong and make a crease, for example, you can't make up for it, even with the maroufle. Note that as the film distorts from the outside, defects are even more noticeable.

    Commentaire Luminis Films - 2025/09/12

Detailed description

Would you like to dress up your windows in a unique way, while protecting yourself from prying eyes? Our DECO-531i decorative window film with striated glass effect is sure to please.

Whether you're looking to clad an exposed fixed pane, a shower enclosure or insulate an office area, there are many possible uses.

Its simple, translucent and original pattern will add a sophisticated touch to your windows, while maintaining maximum luminosity. Composed of several regular vertical stripes, it has been designed to create a subtle, distorting play of light that will protect you from prying eyes. Be careful not to confuse it with frosted film! Although just as effective in protecting you from prying eyes, this decorative blackout film does not have a "sandblasted" finish. Your glass will remain totally translucent.

Technical features: Strips approx. 1.3 cm in size, with deforming "ribbed glass" effect. Color: transparent / translucent - PET film and liner Thickness: 40 microns - Substrate: Adhesive

Please note the direction of the pattern: If you order a 75 or 152 cm width, the stripes will run vertically. If you wish the motif to run horizontally, the film cannot exceed 152cm in height. See photo of roll.

Installation: We recommend the correct installation for self-adhesive window films. You'll find our installation tutorial and tips on the Luminis Films blog.

Frequently asked questions

  • How do I apply window film?

With a little patience and attention to detail, and by following the installation instructions carefully, you can install your window film yourself. For large surfaces (bay windows, for example), we recommend two people.

Find out how to apply self-adhesive films in this article.

Discover the electrostatic film installation tutorial in this article.

If you don't want to do the installation yourself, don't hesitate to ask for a quote.

  • How do I remove my window film?

Just pull at a gentle angle. If you have electrostatics, it's even easier.

Here's a tutorial on how to remove adhesive window film.

You can also find out how to remove and store your electrostatic window film.

  • What's the difference between opaque and frosted film?

The frosted film opacifies while allowing light to pass through, for maximum luminosity.

The opaque film will opacify and stop the passage of light: you'll lose luminosity.

  • Can I order a specific cut (round, half-sphere, etc.)?

Yes, we can. All you have to do is go to the quotation form, and indicate :

    • The product reference concerned
    • Type of glazing
    • Glazing dimensions
    • Whether or not you need an installation service
  • How can I see without being seen?

Two-way mirror effect films allow you to see without being seen, when the light is stronger outside than inside.

It works by balancing the light: the mirror effect is always on the brighter side.

  • Do frosted films affect the brightness of a room?

No, if you choose a translucent or white frosted film, you won't notice the difference.

In concrete terms, with a measuring tool there may be a small variation in brightness, but imperceptible to the naked eye. This is one of the advantages of frosted film, unlike mirror-effect film! 😉

Be careful, if you order a tinted frosted film (gray, black, blue, red, etc.), the passage of light may be affected. In this case, you may lose a little luminosity.

  • What's the difference between white and translucent frosted film?

White frosted film will be slightly more opaque than translucent frosted film.

For example: with a translucent film like DEPOLI-301i, you'll be able to see that there's someone behind you, but it'll remain very blurred: you won't be able to tell whether it's a man or a woman.

With a white frosted film like DEPOLI-300i, you won't notice anyone's there.
