Detailed description
This anti-cold film is a thermal film designed to combat heat loss from single-glazed or old double-glazed windows (over 20 years old). Thanks to its composition, it considerably limits heat loss through the glass. So you save on heating costs.
Combined with good wall and roof insulation, a single-glazed window will achieve performance levels close to those of a double-glazed unit, while a double-glazed unit will offer performance levels close to those of a triple-glazed unit.
This metallized anti-heat loss film will also protect you from the vis à vis. This adhesive film for glazing has a mirror effect, allowing you to see without being seen. This mirror effect is only true on the brighter side of the glazing, i.e. during the day, the outside (the brighter side) won't be able to see what's going on inside. The opposite will be true when night falls and you light up your interior (it will be brighter than the outside, and you won't be able to see through your glass from inside, but people outside your home will).
While solar films protect you from the sun for several months, they also insulate you from the cold in winter by reducing heat loss through the windows. As a result, the investment in anti-cold film is even more positive, as it quickly pays for itself both on the air conditioning in summer and on the heating system in winter.
By reducing heat loss through windows by up to 34% in winter, anti-cold insulating films bring you:
- A reduction in fuel costs of up to 34%, depending on the glass surface of your building.
- Improved insulation, eliminating "cold wall" effects.
- Fast payback, and future savings.
How does insulating film work? In winter, your interior heat escapes through your windows. This loss is due to three factors: radiation, conduction and convection. Let's look at the first two important cases. Radiation: In winter, your heat is dissipated through your windows by radiation, but thanks to our film, this heat will be partly reflected towards the interior, ensuring you a most pleasant comfort near the windows. Conduction: By transferring the air to the glass and by measuring a temperature point inside and outside the glass, the transmission coefficient "K" is improved by the film.
Durability: 12 to 15 years for vertical application in Central Europe indoors.

Frequently asked questions
-
How do I apply window film?
With a little patience and attention to detail, and by following the installation instructions carefully, you can install your window film yourself. For large surfaces (bay windows, for example), we recommend two people.
Find out how to apply self-adhesive films in this article.
Discover the electrostatic film installation tutorial in this article.
If you don't want to do the installation yourself, don't hesitate to ask for a quote.

How many degrees can you gain with heat-shielding film?
It's very difficult to know exactly how many degrees you'll gain. Many factors come into play: the type of insulation in the house, the type of glass, the size of the panes, the surface area of the house, and so on.
In general, you can gain up to 5°C in coolness with an anti-heat film.
Our most effective film, GLASSplus-241x, rejects up to 90% of solar energy. It's an excellent heat barrier to protect your interior.

How do I remove my window film?
Just pull at a gentle angle. If you have electrostatics, it's even easier.
Here's a tutorial on how to remove adhesive window film.
You can also find out how to remove and store your electrostatic window film.

Is the brightness of a room affected by mirror-effect solar film?
Yes and no; it's a fairly subjective criterion.
Technically, the more tinted the film, the greater the impact on room luminosity. A very light film, on the other hand, will have virtually no impact.
On the other hand, your feeling of "loss of brightness" will depend on :
- variations in external light
- your visual acuity
- your expectations in terms of brightness
