    The delivery service used by Luminis (DPD France) is lamentable and unworthy. Two missed appointments (no-shows on the dates and times indicated), parcel opened and torn after collection from a Point Relais (I'd had enough of DPD home delivery). I'll never order from Luminis again as long as the delivery company is DPD.

    Well, real photos might be a good way to judge the product, especially for rooms with windows facing each other. (And use this configuration for each product). The one I bought suggested that you couldn't see through it when it was bright outside, but that's not the case at all (tested on a sunny day with blue skies). You can see perfectly through the window opposite the one on which the film was applied, and you can see inside quite clearly. (Of course, without pressing your face against the window.) I bought this film because it promised to prevent people from seeing inside, and I really feel like I've thrown €70 in the trash... :( It's very expensive for something that won't be used and can't be returned, so I'm not likely to recommend anyone else do the same.

    Hello, One-way mirror film does indeed work on a light balance principle, i.e. it always acts on the brighter side of the room. As you mentioned in your message, it is therefore essential to pay attention to the light passing through.     Very poor finish, no transparency on the window. It looks quite clear online, but it's completely opaque. The product does not match the product description on the website.

    Hello, You've chosen a film with a mirror effect strong enough to counteract nearby neighbours (less than 15 meters away). The film will then necessarily darken the room so that you can enjoy privacy. The product data sheet states that visible light transmission is 18%. Detailed description

A genuine alternative to curtains, repositionable one-way mirror film provides protection from prying eyes while preserving the view outside. Repositionable mirror film works by balancing light: it creates a mirror on the brightest side of the glass, while maintaining transparency on the other side. During the day, this film lets you see outside without being seen. As soon as night sets in, the mirror effect reverses, allowing outside eyes to glimpse inside. We recommend installing blinds or shutters to prevent this.

The principle of the electrostatic one-way mirror film is that it can be easily applied. Without glue, the film can be applied and removed at will. If you fail to apply the static film, you can simply repeat the process until you achieve the desired result.

Please note that this electrostatic solar film is slightly cloudy. For a completely clear view, opt for an adhesive film.

Good to know: glazing with one-way mirror film installed indoors can heat up more. To avoid this risk of overheating, we recommend outdoor installation.

Please pay particular attention to the application side of this film. The electrostatic side is always on the liner side. If you have applied the film on the wrong side, and not the electrostatic side, you may see residues on the glass. If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us.

  • How do I apply window film?

    With a little patience and attention to detail, and by following the installation instructions carefully, you can install your window film yourself. For large surfaces (bay windows, for example), we recommend two people.

  • Should metallized film be applied indoors or outdoors?

    We recommend applying a metallized film to the outside of the glass. The film will be more effective, and your glass will be protected from any thermal shock.

    Don't panic: our films are designed to withstand the vagaries of the weather over time.


    If you cannot apply your metallized film on the outside, you can apply it on the inside in the following cases:

    • Non-laminated single glazing
    • Double-glazed windows less than 1.2m² in area


    Good to know: These precautions must be taken to limit the risk of thermal shock, but there is no such thing as 0 risk. Also, there is no contraindication to installing a transparent film on the inside.

  • How do I remove my window film?

    Just pull at a gentle angle. If you have electrostatics, it's even easier.

  • Does mirror-effect film protect against heat?

    Yes, mirror-effect films automatically protect against heat. Protection varies according to shade. The heat protection properties of mirror effect films are given in the technical data sheet.

  • Does the mirror effect film work at night with the lights on?

    No: the mirror effect always occurs on the brighter side. If it's brighter inside than outside, the mirror effect is reversed.

    By the way, there's no such thing as a one-way mirror effect film that works at night with the lights on.

  • Is the brightness of a room affected by mirror-effect solar film?

    Yes and no; it's a fairly subjective criterion.

    Technically, the more tinted the film, the greater the impact on room luminosity. A very light film, on the other hand, will have virtually no impact.

    On the other hand, your feeling of "loss of brightness" will depend on :

    • variations in external light
    • your visual acuity
    • your expectations in terms of brightness

    The best way to answer this question is to ask for free samples and test them on your windows! 😉

  • Is mirror-effect film dangerous for birds?

    The reflection caused by the mirror effect can actually confuse birds. For this reason, we offer anti-collision stickers. Their purpose is to warn of an obstacle, and thus change the bird's trajectory.

  • Does the color of the film affect its technical characteristics?

    Yes and no. The color of the film is purely aesthetic. We would like to point out, however, that the "Silver" colors are the most effective in terms of face protection.

  • What is thermal shock?

    Thermal shock is a reaction that occurs when there is too great a temperature difference between the glass and the surrounding air. This can cause cracks and damage to your glass.


    Thermal shock can occur, for example, if you apply a dark tinted film to a large area of double-glazed glass on the inside. The glass will overheat, and may break.


    To avoid the risk of thermal shock, we recommend outdoor installation.
