    Facile à poser sur mon velux en pose extérieur. Il coupe la chaleur au delà de ce que j'espérai. Ça assombri pas mal la pièce, mais cela ne me gêne pas. J'avais reçu ma commande à la mauvaise cote, 58 au lieu de 60cm de large. La personne que j'ai contacté à était très réactive pour m'en renvoyer un à la bonne dimension. Je recommanderai chez vous si j'ai besoin.

    Very disappointed with the exterior rendering, bubbles appeared the day after installation and the film gives a cloudy view of the exterior from the inside. Cdlt

    Film impossible to apply correctly, despite following the installation instructions! A grainy appearance emerged, and the hammer blows were visible despite the water sprayed on beforehand. Priceless, and here's the result! What's more, the film peels off by itself... I've been had!

    The 2 films with dimensions Width 85 cm Height 88 cm were delivered in 85 cm x 85 cm.

    The films don't stay in place despite the instructions. They come off everywhere! After a call to the after-sales service, I'm told it's because the size chosen is too big and that it's noted on the site. I've just checked and it's not mentioned at all. I paid through the nose to end up using bits of scotch tape, it's shameful. It's a shame, because it works so well! But they darken so much that it's unthinkable to leave them on in winter.

Detailed description

This electrostatic solar film is a bluish-grey film on the inside and silver on the outside, which not only protects you from the sun, but also prevents glare with its mirror effect, while letting the light through. This repositionable film is plain and allows an ultra effective solar protection in summer, i.e. 87% of solar energy, and to remove it as soon as the days become shorter in order to keep a maximum of light in winter (without leaving traces). Its silver tint on the outside also allows it to make the effect of a one-way mirror to protect you from the opposite side (see without being seen).

Ideal for a velux or roof window installation, the repositionable anti heat film also protects you from glare. Please note that the electrostatic solar film is very slightly cloudy. For optimal clarity, turn to an adhesive film.

Please pay particular attention to the application side of this film. The electrostatic side is always on the liner side. If you have applied the film on the wrong side, and not the electrostatic side, you may see residues on the glass. If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact us.

Good to know: glazing with solar film installed indoors can heat up more. To avoid this risk of overheating, we recommend outdoor installation. In addition to limiting the heat on the glazing, this makes the film more effective.

This solar film can also be installed on a Velux window.

  • How do I apply window film?

    With a little patience and attention to detail, and by following the installation instructions carefully, you can install your window film yourself. For large surfaces (bay windows, for example), we recommend two people.

  • How many degrees can you gain with heat-shielding film?

    It's very difficult to know exactly how many degrees you'll gain. Many factors come into play: the type of insulation in the house, the type of glass, the size of the panes, the surface area of the house, and so on.

    In general, you can gain up to 5°C in coolness with an anti-heat film.

    Our most effective film, GLASSplus-241x, rejects up to 90% of solar energy. It's an excellent heat barrier to protect your interior.

  • Should metallized film be applied indoors or outdoors?

    We recommend applying a metallized film to the outside of the glass. The film will be more effective, and your glass will be protected from any thermal shock.

    Don't panic: our films are designed to withstand the vagaries of the weather over time.


    If you cannot apply your metallized film on the outside, you can apply it on the inside in the following cases:

    • Non-laminated single glazing
    • Double-glazed windows less than 1.2m² in area


    Good to know: These precautions must be taken to limit the risk of thermal shock, but there is no such thing as 0 risk. Also, there is no contraindication to installing a transparent film on the inside.

  • Which heat-shielding film should I choose for my skylight?

    Exterior installation is highly recommended for velux windows, as they are much more exposed to the sun. We recommend a strong, long-lasting solar film, such as GLASSplus-241x. It will soothe the heat, which is often stifling under roofs.


    If you don't have the option of installing a blind on the outside, consider installing a film blind.

  • Is there such a thing as transparent solar film?

    The most transparent heat protection film we have is 3M transparent Prestige 70 outdoor.


    In very clear films, you'll also love the transparent effect of MULTI-281x, the excellent durability of GLASSplus-242x or the elegant clear champagne look of MULTI-181i.

  • Does heat-shielding film protect against sunlight?

    Yes, indeed, metallized solar films provide protection from the sun by creating a mirror effect.

    If you're in any doubt about which part number to order for your needs, you can contact an advisor directly.

  • How do I remove my window film?

    Just pull at a gentle angle. If you have electrostatics, it's even easier.

  • Is the brightness of a room affected by mirror-effect solar film?

    Yes and no; it's a fairly subjective criterion.

    Technically, the more tinted the film, the greater the impact on room luminosity. A very light film, on the other hand, will have virtually no impact.

    On the other hand, your feeling of "loss of brightness" will depend on :

    • variations in external light
    • your visual acuity
    • your expectations in terms of brightness

    The best way to answer this question is to ask for free samples and test them on your windows! 😉

  • What is thermal shock?

    Thermal shock is a reaction that occurs when there is too great a temperature difference between the glass and the surrounding air. This can cause cracks and damage to your glass.


    Thermal shock can occur, for example, if you apply a dark tinted film to a large area of double-glazed glass on the inside. The glass will overheat, and may break.


    To avoid the risk of thermal shock, we recommend outdoor installation.
