Our subscriber contacted us following the purchase of her charming new home. The problem: her windows are magnificent, but old. Theirthermal insulation left something to be desired!

The benefits of ISOL-170i anti-cold film
This thermal film has all the qualities a window film needs:
- Keeps the room's interior bright. The brightest film in our range.
- Highly efficient: up to -34% heat loss. Its thermal performance is similar to that of our ISOL-171i film. Thanks to this film, a single-glazed unit can achieve performances close to those of a double-glazed unit!
- High-tech adhesive film.
It remains fragile, however, and should be handled with care and attention to detail during installation. Read the instructions carefully.
How do I apply ISOL-170i thermal insulation film?
- Clean the glass thoroughly. This is the most important step! Don't hesitate to order an installation kit from our website.
- Remove the protective liner from the film.
- Spray the adhesive side thoroughly with soapy water.
- Position the film on the glass
- Mould to release bubbles. Be careful at this stage! As ISOL-170i film is fragile, we recommend using the protective liner between the film and the flask. This will protect it from any micro-scratches.
- Re-moisten with a paper towel to remove any moisture.

Can I remove the thermal film once it has been applied to my windows?
Of course! All our self-adhesive films can be removed. To do so, start by peeling the film off in one corner, and pull gently to remove it.
As you pull, you can spray the adhesive side with soapy water. This will cancel out the glue's action: the film will peel off more easily.
Be careful not to confuse adhesive films with electrostatic films:
- Adhesive films can be removed, but not reused.
- Electrostatic films can be removed and reused for future applications.
Make sure you choose your film base carefully 😉
