Adhesive or electrostatic solar film?

Adhesive heat-shielding film is ideal for large glass surfaces in offices, business premises, institutions and homes. It's a durable, cost-effective solution that provides year-round protection.

The finish is clean and smooth, making the adhesive more aesthetically pleasing. From the inside, your guests won't even notice there's a film on your glass!

The main advantage of electrostatic anti-heat film is that it can be repositioned. It can be applied and removed at will, without leaving any marks on the glazing. It's ideal if you want to fit your windows with anti-heat film in summer, and be able to remove it in winter.

What's more, applying electrostatic film is much easier. If you mess up, you can start again 😉

What is the ratio of efficiency to light transmission?

In general, the more tinted the solar film, the more effective it is against heat, but the darker it makes the room. In fact, the reflective properties of heat-absorbing films cause between 10% and 12% of visible light to be lost.

But thanks tovisual acuity (the eye's ability to adapt to the brightness of a room), this slight loss of light is felt very little, if at all, depending on the film.

To maintain maximum luminosity, we offer a new generation of very clear, heat-repellent solar film. These reject up to 66% of solar energy while allowing maximum natural light through the glazing.

The right anti-heat window film will answer your main question: Do I need maximum protection? Would I prefer to keep more light in? Can an in-between film do the trick?

Don't hesitate to ask for free samples with several shades; you might be (pleasantly) surprised. 😎

What type of installation and glazing?

To improve the performance of solar protection films, we recommend that you install your films outdoors.

Anti-heat films repel the sun's heat before it penetrates your windows. What's more, you eliminate any risk of thermal shock that could damage the glass.

For single- or double-glazed windows with a surface area of less than 1.2m², interior installation is possible. Don't hesitate to ask one of our advisors if you have any doubts.

For polycarbonates and other synthetic glazing materials, choose a specific heat-shielding film for polycarbonates.

Use the filters as a guide! For velux windows and other sloping walls, we strongly advise against installing solar film indoors. Find out more about our solar films for velux windows.

What colour should I choose for my heat protection film?

There are many shades of solar film to suit all requirements. Silver reflective solar film is the most widely used, as it accurately reflects the building's environment.

You can also opt for a copper tint to match your glazing to the façade of your house! A blue tint can also color your glass surfaces. This is your chance to combine effective solar protection with aesthetic appeal;)
