Does anti-heat film keep the heat out in winter?
Don't worry about losing heat in winter.
In winter, we all do the same thing: we try to keep warm while saving on heating costs. That's why the sun seems a good alternative! So do we have to abandon our heat protection film in winter? Not necessarily! We explain everything in this article.
Why not leave your heat protection film on your windows all year round?
Why remove a perfectly functional and effective film? Our heat-shielding films are designed to last several years, and to withstand the vagaries of the weather: sun, cold, rain, wind... So it would be a shame to part with them prematurely.
In summer, anti-heat films prevent the sun from overheating your home. Hot enough as it is, if you can save a few degrees... But what about winter? Well, the sun isn't necessarily so pleasant either! We'll tell you why ;)
The benefits of anti-warmth film in winter.
Imagine yourself inside, in the middle of winter, sitting quietly in front of your window, reading a book or watching a film.
Can you feel the sun beating down on your skin? Isn't that nice? But for how long? That's it, it's getting a little too hot 🥵
In winter, the sun is low and beating down hard. Sure, it heats the room, but it's still doing its job a little too well! What's more, when it disappears, many people turn the heating back on...
Anti-heat film allows you to temper the room, to limit heat gain and prevent overheating. The film also provides an extra layer of insulation on the glazing.
Don't panic: if you want to keep the heat in your home, we have solutions ;)
To leave your windows bare in winter, opt for repositionable heat-shielding film.
Some households find it hard to do without the energy provided by the sun in winter. Facing south, some rooms can even do without heating all year round.
Because it would be a shame to turn the heating back on, we offer repositionable heat protection films, which can be removed in winter and repositioned in summer. This solution gives you more freedom to take advantage of the sun's energy, depending on the season.
Several solutions are available:
- An electrostatic anti-heat film, to be applied directly to your glass.
- An anti-heat scratch film, to be installed on the frame of your glass.
- A blind-type film can also be installed around the glass.
