What is the difference between adhesive film and electrostatic film?
Adhesive film is a pre-glued film that ensures exceptional durability thanks to its perfect adhesion to the glass. Usually made of polyester, this type of film is very clear. It is the cheapest solution and ideal for large surfaces.
Electrostatic film is a repositionable film charged with static electricity. The film is easy to apply because it can be applied and removed without leaving any trace: it can therefore be reused at will. It is the least restrictive solution and ideal for small surfaces.
-
Are the films guaranteed?
Each window film is guaranteed against manufacturing defects. This guarantee is valid for 5 years for films applied indoors and 2 years for films applied outdoors. In addition, our films have a durability of up to 15 years. You will find all the necessary information in the product sheets. If you do not find it there, please do not hesitate to contact us.
-
What film should be used for polycarbonate synthetic glazing?
You can apply any type of film to interior glazing such as office partitions as long as they are not exposed to the sun. For the application of solar film, one-way mirror film or blackout film, special polycarbonate film should be used for glazing exposed to the sun.
For a sun protection film, you can opt for the POLY-100i or POLY-200x. For a one-way mirror film, it is best to go for the MASTER-200x. For a blackout film, we suggest the MASTER-100i.

Is it possible to remove the film?
Window films are easy to remove and your window will easily be restored to its original state. To do this, start by removing it from an angle at the top of the window. The film will gradually peel off. If it resists, the film can be heated from the outside. Adhesive residues may remain. You can use a window scraper to remove them permanently without damaging the glass.

We strongly advise against using abrasive products such as acetone to remove the glue, as this will spread it. In addition, it will attack the adhesive of the new film you wish to install and reduce its adhesion to the glass.
Electrostatic films can be applied and removed at will without leaving any trace. It is therefore the ideal solution for a temporary application.
